Hey trainers!

I’m fairly new to Pokémon GO and currently around level 20. The game is super fun, but I’m running into a few things and could use some advice from experienced players:

Stardust: Should I save my Stardust for higher levels, or is it okay to power up my favorite Pokémon early on?

Bag Space: My item bag is constantly full. Which items should I keep/discard to make room for PokéBalls?

Evolutions: Is it better to evolve high CP Pokémon right away, or wait until I get better IVs?

Any general tips for a beginner would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Gym defense right now relies less on your pokemons CP and more on how effectively you waste the attackers time and potions. If you stack Normal types like Blissey and Snorlax back to back any passing Lucario clears the gym in like a cycle and a half. You know at some point I stopped wasting stardust on random tanks after breaking down the tier list on HP scaling and motivation decay. A solid breakdown on timings and effective walls is available in the guide https://skycoach.gg/blog/pokemon-go/articles/best-gym-defenders which explains the logic behind covering weaknesses. As a result my stardust spending dropped and passive coin income hit the daily cap without constant babysitting. How do you guys cover Fighting type weaknesses on defense?
