Paint Estimating Software?

I run a small contracting business and over the past few years I’ve been steadily working to bring more structure and predictability into our operations. We started with basic spreadsheets for job estimates, which worked at first, but as project volume increased, the margin for error became more noticeable. A few miscalculations on materials and labor made it clear that our current approach may not scale well. I’ve recently started looking into paint estimating software as a way to standardize our quoting process and reduce variability between projects. What interests me most is the potential to improve accuracy while saving time during the planning phase. At the same time, I’m cautious about overcomplicating workflows or introducing tools that require excessive onboarding.

ostincalison set the alternate text for this file to I'm on software number 2, still has stuff I don't like. Tried the program offered by PDCA, which had a lot of good features but took more time than I had to set it up- lots of quirks. This area is a definite bottleneck for me. Anyone have a good software program that they love, recommend? It's discouraging to spend $1700 on software just to have things that don't work like you want... SUGGESTIONS?.Sun, Apr 19, 9:41 PM
