Hey everyone, I’ve got a bit of a problem with the windows in my apartment. Our kids’ room faces due south, and in the summer it turns into a real sauna—by lunchtime, it’s hard to even breathe. Running the AC all day isn’t an option, because the kids catch colds instantly, and the electricity bills afterward are anything but pleasant. I’ve decided to settle this issue once and for all by applying heat-reflective film to the windows. I found some great options on diy window tint, where the specifications are laid out in detail and you can choose the right option for your needs. Now I want to get started right away and do everything as neatly as possible the first time around. Based on your experience, could you advise me on which tools I should buy right away, how to clean the glass perfectly before applying the film, and how much soapy water to use so the film lays flat and bubble-free?
